Slipping into crystalline silence
Subsumed by the stream of presence
Staring past the rippling glass
As pale eucalypts roll gently by.
Worn down to stone by cold and searching
Ever further beyond the bend and river bed
Seeking a deeper disposition
and smoothed by natural repetition.
Settling in the sands with shells and hands
Ethereal and white brush insistently softly
While whispering ocean zephyrs stirring
Amongst the gulls and shipwreck bones.
Calling depths that allow no rest
shake me loose from pebbles and pools
stirring the swell of living shells
a sublime song of boundless seas.
